Arctic Dream
This Photograph Captures The Surreal Beauty Of The High Arctic ,A Surreal Moment Capturing A Minke Whale As He Plays In Front Of A Solitary Blue Iceberg Floating On An Icy Canvas.
Notes from a journey through Svalbard - Off Grid
‘On Our 10th Day At Sea, We Blurred The Lines Between Sea Creature And Human With Pure Delight As A Young Minke Whale Warmly Welcomed Us Into His Home Territory.
To Our Amazement This Young Whale Teased Us By Spy-Hopping, Disappearing For A Moment, Only To Reappear Right Next To Our Boat And Then Swiftly 100 Ft Away Before Returning Again. He Gracefully Bobbed By Our Zodiac, And We Soon Realized He Was Inviting Us To Play As He Swam Over To The Second Zodiac. We Had Been So Cautious Not To Make A Sound But Bursts Of Laughter Filled Our Zodiac As We Felt Like Children Again, Playing The '70s Game 'Whac-A-Mole’
This Experience Will Always Be A Vivid Reminder That Nature Has A Wonderful Sense Of Humour.
